AARP Friday Fright Night

Join us on Friday nights for an evening of classic horror double-features in Washington Park. All movies are free and open to the public. Full bar service and drink specials available. Lawn chairs, blankets and picnics welcome.

Friday, October 3
8:00pm: Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde (1932)
Film Synopsis: Dr. Jekyll faces horrible consequences when he lets his dark side run wild with a potion that changes him into the animalistic Mr. Hyde.
9:40pm: The Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954)
Film Synopsis: A strange prehistoric beast lurks in the depths of the Amazonian jungle. A group of scientists try to capture the animal and bring it back to civilization for study.

8:00pm: Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)
Film Synopsis: A small-town doctor learns that the population of his community is being replaced by emotionless alien duplicates.
9:25pm: It Came from Outer Space (1953)
Film Synopsis: A spaceship from another world crashes in the Arizona desert, and only an amateur stargazer and a schoolteacher suspect alien influence when the local townsfolk begin to act strange.

Film Synopsis: The dead come back to life and eat the living in this low budget, black and white film. Several people barricade themselves inside a rural house in an attempt to survive the night. Outside are hordes of relentless, shambling zombies who can only be killed by a blow to the head.

Film Synopsis: A living mummy stalks the beautiful woman he believes is the reincarnation of his lover.

Film Synopsis: The ancient vampire Count Dracula arrives in England and begins to prey upon the virtuous young Mina.
9:50pm: Frankenstein (1931)
Film Synopsis: Dr. Frankenstein creates a monster from various posthumous ‘donors’ and combines them into a massive creature, to whom he wishes to bestow life. The movie centers on this monster and his struggle in this ‘life after death’.
