Cincinnati Celtic Festival
September 6, 2014 @ 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Don your kilt and join us for three days of mirth and magic at the 2014 Cincinnati Celtic Festival in Washington Park! Produced by 3CDC and the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, the celebration runs from September 5 – September 7, and offers patrons an opportunity to savor plenty of traditional Celtic food, art, music and merchandise. Festivities begin Friday, September 5, at 6:00pm with music from Whiskey of the Damned, followed by Enter the Haggis.
Can’t make it Friday? Join us at noon on Saturday, September 6, for even more music and revelry, beginning with an official opening ceremony featuring the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. The fun continues through Sunday, September 7, culminating with one final performance from Enter the Haggis. See below for a full entertainment schedule.
Bring the whole family down to the park to experience traditional Irish fare, from piping hot shepherd’s pie and corned beef sandwiches, to sausages and potato pancakes – along with other festival favorites. Spend time browsing rows of artistic offerings, wood carvings, home décor and hand-beaded jewelry from a variety of local craft vendors. Or, simply take the afternoon to explore our children’s activity area, featuring our spin on traditional Highland games, including caber tosses, archery, Celtic knot crafts, Gaelic football games and more. See below for a complete list of merchandise and food vendors.
Admission to the 2014 Cincinnati Celtic Festival is FREE and open to the public. Convenient parking is located in the Washington Park Garage, directly beneath the Park. Full bar service, drink specials and plenty of ice cold Guinness will be available. Special thanks to our sponsors, the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, UC Health and Broadway in Cincinnati’s production of “Once”.
