Clambake With “The King”
October 5, 2012 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Elvis has left the building…and he’s on his way to Washington Park! Join us Friday, October 5th, for a Clambake Dinner, with “The King” himself as the inspiration. From 6PM to 10PM, Washington Platform will be on site serving up their steamy version of this seafood boil by the bowlful. For only $10, each dish will include clams, shrimp, mussels and potatoes—complete with a corn cob and a dinner roll on the side!
Washington Park’s Clambake bash will also feature live music from Louisiana-style rock band, Robin Lacy & DeZydeco, along with appearances from Elvis Impersonators. We’ll also be giving out prizes for the best Elvis lookalikes. Think you’ve mastered the art of Elvis lip curl? Come down to park and give us your best impression of The King (costume required)!
And no Clambake would be complete without a screening of Elvis’ 1967 classic, Clambake. We’ll also have Little Kings beer on sale, plus the usual array of Washington Park’s concession offerings: draft beer, wine, mixed drinks, soft drinks and bottled water.
