CSO Presents LUMENOCITY

The CSO Presents LUMENOCITY returns for an expanded three-night festival in Washington Park. Beginning Friday, August 1, audiences will enjoy a bigger, brighter show, a more comfortable viewing experience, a better sound system, a family-friendly environment, and spectacular performances by the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra!
The CSO, conducted by Louis Langrée, will be accompanied by an amazing light show on the façade of Music Hall, the Orchestra’s historic home. Performances begin promptly at 8:30 pm and guests must have a free, reserved ticket to enter the fenced-off sections of the Park, which include the civic lawn and fountain areas. Please note that outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the premises. Washington Park’s concessions will offer beer, wine, liquor, soda and water for purchase. LUMENOCITY Village: LUMENOCITY Village will also feature a wide variety of family-friendly activities, free performances, local art, food and beverages throughout the festival. LUMENOCITY Village is open to the public on all three days, and no ticket is needed to enter. Washington Park’s dog park and children’s playground are also located in LUMENOCITY Village. No tickets required.
On the Web: All three performances of the CSO Presents LUMENOCITY will be streamed live at lumenocity2014.com, thanks to partnerships with CET and WGUC. The live web stream will begin at 8:30pm for each performance.
Friday, August 1: Listen live! Thanks to a partnership with 90.9 WGUC, Cincinnati’s classical public radio station, the entire Friday performance of the CSO Presents LUMENOCITY will be broadcasted to radio listeners throughout the Tri-state.
Saturday, August 2: Watch from home! CET (Channel 48), Cincinnati’s public television station, will air the second half of the CSO Presents LUMENOCITY live at 9:30pm. This half will feature Louis Langrée conducting the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, accompanied by a spectacular light show on the façade of historic Music Hall.
Sunday, August 3: Catch it on the big screen! The public is invited to watch the final evening of the CSO Presents LUMENOCITY on Fountain Square’s Fifth Third LED Video Board or on the five LED boards at Riverbend Music Center. Picnics and lawn chairs welcome!
