Opening Day Celebration
April 6, 2015 @ 11:00 am - 7:00 pm
Join us for a free fun-filled Opening Day Celebration in Washington Park! Festivities begin Monday, April 6, at 11:00am with beverage sales, fun games and live music from local rock band, Glory Days. The Findlay Market Opening Day Parade kicks off at noon and will pass by Washington Park on Elm Street—directly in front of Music Hall—as it makes its way through the city. Bleacher seating will be available on the park’s Music Hall Plaza for those who wish to sit and enjoy the show. For more information about the Opening Day Parade, CLICK HERE.
And be sure to stick around after the procession for even more music, family-friendly activities, cold beverages, and delicious food from Wertheim’s and Festival Concessions. Additionally, Washington Park’s concession stand will be selling beer, wine, mixed drinks, soft drinks and water. Craft beer options include offerings from Madtree, Taft’s, Moerlein, and Rhinegeist. Sports fans can also enjoy a hot cup of coffee from Urbana Cafe, face painting with Over the Line, or browse merchandise from Be Ohio Proud.
Don’t have tickets to Opening Day? We’ve rented a giant LED screen for the day, making the Park the perfect place to watch the Reds-Pirates play starting at 4:10! Please note that there will be a temporary LED Board installation in the dog park that will remain until the conclusion of the parade. The dog park will remain open, so please plan accordingly.
